A portrait project is a a common adventure. Since the camera took over the responsibilty for the surface, painting a portrait is for me the adventure to discover the inner face - more: the inner faces. Everybody has thousands of faces every day. Therefore not one single one of them is able to discover this special, unique human being.
This project together with G.A. contents also a kind of an inside joke, better a homage of and to Dr. Gachet and V.v.G.
